A Special Message from Ms. Robin

Robin Chastain enters her first year as Head of School at Marvell Academy. She joins the #MAfamily after spending 15 years as a teacher and coach in several independent schools across the MAIS. Her career as an educator encompasses stints at Pillow Academy (07-12), Winston Academy (12-14), Magnolia Heights School (14-18), and Kirk Academy (18-22).

A native of Holly Grove, Arkansas, Chastain spent 4 years playing college basketball at Delta State University and Arkansas Tech University before attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Arkansas State University in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Independent School Administration from Mississippi College.

Throughout her head coaching career, Chastain has collected 158 career wins, 2 consecutive district Coach of the Year honors, 4 district championships, 2 north state championships, and a runner-up state championship.

Ms. Chastain, a 2002 Marvell Academy Honor Graduate, is excited about returning to her alma mater to inspire and challenge students toward academic and athletic excellence, while instilling personal integrity through Christian values.
